Emma Jane Brown


Former International Showjumper and now TV & Radio Commentator - and Patron of the UK Polocrosse Association



Following her early training with the late Caroline Bradley, Emma-Jane became a top class international competitor under the tutorage of the Everest brand with Ted and Liz Edgar. Emma also formed a major sponsorship partnership with Bond International along with Tina Cassan and they became known as the girls.


She first hit the headlines in 1984 (aged 20) when she won the Ladies National Championship of Great Britain.  In 1987 she won the coveted Foxhunter Championship on her then to become world famous horse Oyster at Wembley Arena In 1989 she became the first female show jumper from Great Britain to compete on the American Fall Circuit. During her trip she had tremendous success winning the World Cup qualifier in and forming a vital part of the British Nations Cup teams in Washington, New York

In 1990 Emma won the world famous Queen Elizabeth II Cup and regained the Ladies National Championship of Great Britain back to back in 1995 and 1996Emma was selected by the International committee to represent her country in Nations Cup team competitions a total of 13 times and was the highest British ranked lady rider for many years and recognised as a great ambassador for her country.

Since retirement from the sport Emma is sought after as a Colour Commentator on television for Sky Sports and Eurosport and is currently writing for a number of magazines in Warwickshire.
