Bell and Spurling are Martin Bell and Johnny Spurling. They are one of the most talented duo’s you are likely to see, with two very soulful and powerful voices which has enabled them to carve out a great career within the music and Television industries. They came together ten years ago to combine their talents and perform at various functions all over the world from Lake Como to Las Vegas. They have a large celebrity following and have performed at parties for the likes of Manchester United footballers to pop bands and stars such as Steps and Robbie Williams. With an image that can only be described as chalk and cheese they have also forged a career in comedy with their quick wit and and quality stage presence.

They have appeared on numerous National TV shows from GMTV to This Morning and from MTV to News at Ten. They are most famous for their appearances on Top of the Pops performing their hit singles “Sven Sven Sven” and “Golden Balls”, the two footie anthems written about the England manager and of course David Beckham, which became cult status and sold over 300,000 singles, keeping them in the top 40 for over eight weeks.

They are now regular guests on various radio shows from Talksport to Capital and are currently piloting their own radio and TV show. The boys continue to travel all over the world performing their live show which includes two sets of various songs from Marvin Gaye to Frank Sinatra and then onto more contemporary songs and not forgetting finishing the evening with their very own hits which is always well received.

Short Biog

Martin Bell, who is Essex born and bred originally started out as a session singer. He had releases under various record labels with his powerful soul voice until enjoying success as “Bell & Spurling” with his writing partner Johnny Spurling. Martin penned and sang the now famous hit “Sven Sven Sven” for Capital Radio which under the Warner Music label went on to sell over 300,000 units. The follow up single “Goldenballs” also had chart success enabling Bell & Spurling to perform on Top of the Pops for a second time. Martin continued to write and perform until teaming up as a writing partner with Jules De Martino from the now recognised “Ting Tings”. Martin was instrumental in the early part of the careers of De Martino and Katie White but reverted back to writing for his own solo projects.

Martin Bell has a distinctive soulful voice and has an amazing live stage presence whether performing solo in small venues to back track or with his 11 piece backing band. Martin has amassed a strong celebrity following including the likes of Rod Stewart, Steve Harris from Iron Maiden and rather Simon Cowell, who booked Martin to sing at the wedding of brother Nicholas Cowell in Ibiza.

Martin was the first person to sign a contract to feature in “The Only Way is Essex”. After filming the pilot he declined to do the show due to gig and recording commitments. Martin’s recent track “wiggle” was earmarked as the new TOWIE theme tune and is currently being negotiated for a top brand TV advertisement.
