Hans Segers
Goalkeeping Coach
Goalkeeper Hans Segers was originally brought to The UK from top Dutch team PSV Eindhoven to Nottingham Forest by the legendary and most certainly revered Brian Clough.
After a good spell with Nottingham Forest, Hans was sought after and persuaded to move to London, where he became a member of the infamous Crazy Gang at Wimbledon.
After a few years in the regular No. 1 shirt at Wimbledon, Hans then transferred to Wolves where he became an instant hero by saving a penalty in the last seconds of an FA Cup quarter final match against Leeds. It was around this time that David Pleate, Director of Football at Tottenham Hotspurs saw Hans on a religious TV programme giving a reading in Church, which prompted him to contact Hans and offer him the post of Goalkeeping Coach at Spurs coaching the likes of top International goalkeepers like Casey Keller and Neil Sullivan.
Hans has what can only be described as a wicked sense of humour. As you can see from the picture above, Hans saw red when he was red carded by Spit The Dog Owner Bob Carolgees at a charity golf day.
Hans is not only a great athlete, he also has a knowledge of sport in general that is second to none and would most certainly grace any TV or Radio production, either as a football Pundit or as a Celebrity Guest.
Hans is a positive and fun person to have around and very media friendly.
