24 year old singer/songwriter Andy Taylor is the latest exciting talent to hail from North London.

He studied music at the Chicken Shed Theatre Company and it was here that he gained valuable experience working in the studio composing his own songs and developing his musical skills along with performing in many of the professional Chicken Shed productions.

Andy attended East Barnet Secondary School and performed many times in school concerts and productions. His school life was unhappy at times due to bullying and a lot of his lyrics reflect this period of his life. His music and songwriting were a way of dealing with the unhappiness he felt. After one particular performance the Head Teacher Mr. N. Christou said to Andy come back one day and sing for the school when you are a star.

With an amazing vocal range and a particularly impressive control of falsetto,
Andy also plays guitar and keyboards.

His knack for writing commercial everyman lyrics allow him to connect with his material and relate to his audience.

He is very versatile and has performed in venues ranging from the Guildhalll to the Ministry of Sound.

Andy has performed with artistes like Jazzie B [ soul ll soul ] and Dj Luck and Mc Neat also Patrick Allen of the Drifters and Alexandra Burke.

His voice has been likened to Craig David and Gary Barlow.

His professionalism and work ethic reflect his true passion for music and it is this driving force that motivates him to compose.
