Big Bus Pull for Veterans Aid

Our client TOM KEANE was sitting PROUDLY in the bus when 20 soldiers, sailors, airmen and police officers pulled a 7-tonne Routemaster double-dekcer bus from The Cenotaph to the charity's Victoria HQ on Sunday November 6th. The Bus Pull was organisedj to raise awareness as well as funding for Veterans Aid who continually care for Veterans in crisis.

Escala will be appearing tonight at the Spirit of London Awards at the Royal Albert Hall with D.J.Fresh.
The event will be hosted by Stacey Solomon with many other celebrity guests taking part including Beverley Knight and Tinchy Stryder to name just two.
The Spirit of London Awards (SOLA) have been created as a fusion of all the great celebrity award shows such as the BRITS and MOBO with the one big difference being - The stars of the show are the unsung young heroes of our local communities and the celebrities are there to applaud and pay homage to them - The Community Oscars!
The Damilola Taylor Trust developed the awards to address the imbalance in the way young people were perceived due to a small minority who create negative media headlines. The awards are now the standard bearer for the majority of the fantastic young people of London.

Cheryl Baker to WIN Pop Star To Operastar?

Cheryl Baker is through to the final of Pop Star To Operastar. Cheryl is up against former X-Factor winner Joe McKeldery. The final wil take place on ITV1 at 8.00pm on Sunday 10th July.
It will be an interesting one to watch, although Joe is odds on favourite to win, Cheryl has already proved the bookies wrong by ousting Claire from Steps in the Semi-Final. Claire was very good and has an excellent voice, but Cheryl has the likeability factor and the full package. We can assure you, Cheryl is exactly the same off screeen as she is on and I think it is this that just may tip the scales in her favour and win the public vote. Providing of course she still puts on a good performance, which we have no doubt she will.
Cheryl Baker & Sue from Celeb Agents

Cheryl Baker went through last night on Pop Star to Opera Star. Cheryl looked stunning last nght in her blue dress and put on a performance to match. This picture was taken about one minute before Cheryl went on to sing and Sue wished her luck as she left for the TV cameras.
On the results show which followed an hour later, Cheryl was announced to go through first then Joe, then Claire and in the bottom two was Joseph from Toploader and Andy Bell. Joseph rightly went through to next weeks semi final where two will leave the show. Fingers crossed for Cheryl. Lets hope she gets to the final as she deserves it.

NODA Review for Michael Kurn and cast of Boogie Nights

Michael Kurn and the cast of Bookie Nights received a fantastic review from NODA (National Operatic and Dramatic Association) :
This was the first time that I had seen the show and wasn’t it fun. The plot was slight – but it didn’t matter as the wonderful compilation of music swept us along. The cast really got into it and sang and danced with such enjoyment. The costumes and dance routines seemed very authentic and I was transported to my younger days!
It was a lovely young cast – very talented and very energetic. Naomi, Kimberly and Natalie were all excellent – three talented girls, with great, but different singing voices, and they were good actors and dancers too.
The boys were pretty good too. Ryan and Stu were very convincing and Paul really threw himself into his role. Y.M.C.A. was very well done. They must have worked very hard to get it to look so effortless. Adrian was lovely, with his world weary attitude to life. He was also a very amusing Elvis. Michael was excellent, a truly loveable rogue. I could have fallen for him myself if I was only ? years younger! His charm was such an important part of the show, making the plot reasonably believable, and his asides to the audience were well delivered.
The chorus was super, singing well and dancing with great enthusiasm. I was very impressed with the choreography – it was very much the right style for the music. The band was fantastic. They managed to play well without drowning the singing.
I liked the set and the easy scene changes kept the action flowing. There were one or two hiccoughs with the lighting but I was impressed with the way the cast carried on regardless.
It was a bright, energetic and colourful production, and I loved every minute of the show. Everyone, whether on the stage or in the audience, was having a fabulous time and Carol and I went home singing some of our old favourites. Thanks for a lovely evening and well done everyone.

Phillip Schofield watch out - Michael Kurn wants to be the next YOU

Daily Echo interview : 28th February 2011
JUST six years ago Michael Kurn was a Daily Echo newspaper delivery boy...now he is creating headlines interviewing A-list celebrities from the film, sport and music industries.
Indeed, as we contacted him this week to talk about his success he said:”I can’t talk now, I’m just off to interview Justin Bieber at his movie premiere!”
The red carpet has become Michael’s second home as he presents showbusiness news items and interviews for various radio stations as well as Leicester Square( LSQ) TV.
Aged just 21, he has made such an impact in the presenting world that top London agency Celeb Agents has signed him up in a bid to fulfill his ultimate ambition: “to be the next Phillip Schofield.”
Its celebrity client roster includes psychic Colin Fry, Gary Bushell, Jean Christophe Novelli, Chico, Bucks Fizz, The Bill’s Billy Murray and TV/radio presenter Pat Sharpe.
Reporting on Justin Bieber’s movie premiere Never Say Never this week Michael got up close to talk to the hottest teen idol on the planet – worth an estimated $100m with some seven million Twitter followers!
In scenes reminiscent of Beatlemania thousands of hysterical Bieber fans – or “Beliebers” gathered at London’s O2 Arena, for the chance of a glimpse of their Canadian heart-throb.
Michael said: “It was absolutely packed with thousands of screaming girls; you needed ear plugs – the hysteria and noise was incredible.”
And his verdict on the teen wonder: “He was a really nice guy. I was told he probably wouldn’t speak to any journalists but he gave his time to absolutely everybody.
“On the red carpet they say you are allowed one question each but I asked him two or three. I asked if he’d a message for his British fans and he said ‘I really want to thank them for everything’.
“He’s got that presence, some people are born with a gift. People like Michael Jackson are one in a million and I looked at Justin Bieber and thought ‘he’s got it’. He’s not just going to be here for the next five minutes; he will be around for a long while.”
Southampton’s own Craig David was also at the premiere – which was the greatest thrill for Michael, who won a Daily Echo when he was 14!
“I grew up with his music and have always been a fan.
He told me he had missed the Brit Awards to go home to Southampton and see his mum and he’s rarely back in England now. He said he would have been in trouble if he’d missed the opportunity!
“It also turns out that Justin Bieber is a big fan of Craig David and the feeling is mutual so it looks as if they could be collaborating on something together in the future.”
Southamptonborn Michael, who grew up in the village of Durley, has always loved the entertainment industry. When he joined Peter Symonds College in Winchester in 2006 he set up 7 Radio, the college station, with two friends, becoming breakfast show presenter and station manager.
He joined Original 106 FM in Southampton on work experience after college, stayed 22 weeks, and has since gone on to work on many radio stations. He presents the daytime show on Spitfire FM across the Southampton region.
As a keen sportsman who had trials for AFC Bournemouth and now manages adult team BTC in Southampton, the opportunity to meet and interview Gordon Strachan at his home was an early career highlight.
“We ended up talking for one and a half hours. I was only 18. I was told he can be a bit blunt and he’s not a fan of journalists but he was one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met. He met me at his electric gates and made me a cup of tea – it was all very surreal as I’d always idolised him as a Southampton fan.
He said he’d never let the press in his house before.
That was such a great experience I thought afterwards, ‘I can do this’, and I’ve never looked back.”
After that Michael went on the cruise ships as a DJ and TV presenter from 2009 to July 2010.
His first job for LSQ TV last September was covering the movie premiere of The Kid, starring Kylie Minogue.
“I don’t know how I did it as I’d broken my ankle playing football but I managed to join the crowd of journalists trying to talk to Kylie. She was lovely and chatted about her work with the NSPCC.”
Outside of work Michael is a member of Southampton Musical Society and will star as Roddy in Boogie Nights at the Theatre Royal, Winchester, in May. He also presents talent show The Concorde Factor at the Concorde Club, Eastleigh.
“My main ambition now is to be the next Phillip Schofield in ten-15 years time, presenting shows like Dancing on Ice and This Morning. I try to give 110 per cent to everything I do and never say no to anything.”

John Cleese Terrorist Alert! Very Funny

By John Cleese
The English are feeling the pinch in relation to recent terrorist threats and have therefore raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved." Soon, though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross."
The English have not been "A Bit Cross" since the blitz in 1940 when tea supplies nearly ran out.
Terrorists have been re-categorized from "Tiresome" to "A Bloody Nuisance." The last time the British issued a "Bloody Nuisance" warning level was in 1588, when threatened by the Spanish Armada.
The Scots have raised their threat level from "Pissed Off" to "Let's get the Bastards." They don't have any other levels. This is the reason they have been used on the front line of the British army for the last 300 years.
The French government announced yesterday that it has raised its terror alert level from "Run" to "Hide." The only two higher levels in France are "Collaborate" and "Surrender." The rise was precipitated by a recent fire that destroyed France 's white flag factory, effectively paralyzing the country's military capability.
Italy has increased the alert level from "Shout Loudly and Excitedly" to "Elaborate Military Posturing." Two more levels remain: "Ineffective Combat Operations" and "Change Sides."
The Germans have increased their alert state from "Disdainful Arrogance" to "Dress in Uniform and Sing Marching Songs." They also have two higher levels: "Invade a Neighbour" and "Lose."
Belgians, on the other hand, are all on holiday as usual; the only threat they are worried about is NATO pulling out of Brussels.
The Spanish are all excited to see their new submarines ready to deploy. These beautifully designed subs have glass bottoms so the new Spanish navy can get a really good look at the old Spanish navy.
Australia, meanwhile, has raised its security level from "No worries" to "She'll be alright, Mate." Two more escalation levels remain: "Crikey! I think we'll need to cancel the barbie this weekend!" and "The barbie is canceled." So far no situation has ever warranted use of the final escalation level.

Sam Bird produces another impressive display!

Sam Bird produced another impressive display of sheer racing ability yesterday as he charged forward from 14th on the grid to finish 5th.
The gauntlet had been thrown down the previous day, when Sam was given a drive-through penalty, somewhat harshly according to some observers, for contact with another driver, while fighting for the coveted 8th place, synonymous with the reversed grid sprint race pole position.
This condemned Sam to a lowly 14th place finish and to a tricky mid-pack starting position for the sprint race and with no compulsory pit stop, a top six scoring finish seemed like a tall order.
However, Sam made an excellent start to get up to tenth by the end of the first lap, before producing another overtaking festival, reminiscent of Barcelona, that successively left Herck, Filippi, Pic, current Championship leader Maldonado, and current Championship runner-up Clos in his wake.
Sam took the chequered flag in 5th place, just over a second adrift of his team mate, having started the race ten places behind him.
“If I look at this race in isolation, then we have to be satisfied with the final result, given our starting position”, said Sam. “However, if I look at the weekend as a whole, I can only be disappointed as we had the pace to be on the podium in both races and score double figures. A special mention to the team, who gave me an excellent car throughout the weekend. ”

Sam Bird secures second consecutive GP2 feature race podium

Sam Bird secured his second consecutive GP2 feature race podium with another impressive drive on his first ever visit to the streets of Valencia.
In Sunday’s feature race however, Sam suffered from a gearbox problem and was forced to start from pit lane.
“I was unable to select first gear for the start of the formation lap”, he explained. “I tried to shift up repeatedly but I just had a box full of neutrals.”
“I got pushed into pit lane and still had the same problem but after the team push-started me I was finally able to select a gear and I rejoined the back at the pack.”
“After that, it was just a case of keeping my head down and fighting my way up the order”.
Bird did manage to get all the way back up to finish tenth, courtesy of some smart driving through the customary Valencia chaos and some great overtaking moves on fellow-Brits Oliver Turvey and Max Chilton.
He missed out on the fastest lap of the race by 1/100th of a second.
“It was a great shame about today because we clearly had the pace once again and starting from 6th, I do believe that another podium was achievable,” Bird said at the end of the weekend.
“Having said that, we have to take some satisfaction from the podium yesterday and for once again being very competitive. I want to thank my team for a good job throughout the weekend and in particular for an excellent pit stop yesterday. As for today’s gearbox issue, I don’t believe there is any way that they could have anticipated that. It was just one of those things ”.
The next round of the GP2 Series will take place at Silverstone on 9th – 11th July.

World Cup Offers of money back if England win The World Cup

David Hahn boss of Celebagents says he cant believe how many companies are offering people their money back on products and services IF England win The World Cup. Come on, do they take us for idiots? I genuinely and sincerely hope we do well in the competition, but winning it? The odds? Well I bloody hope we do win it even if it's just to see all these companies having to give back millions of pounds of everyones hard earned cash!
Come on ENGLAND!!! You can do it!
David Hahn CEO of Celebagents agrees with The Telegraph today 4th June 2010

David Hahn CEO of Celeb Agents agrees with The Telegraph today - Saying sorry could help settle legal rows quickly and cheaply, study claims.
People embroiled in legal rows are more likely to end their dispute by simply saying sorry, a study of judges has claimed.
This headline was accompanied by a picture of Cheryl & Ashley Cole. Well I have to say I agree with the Judges. A lot of Celebs think they are above the law in many ways, just ask top Celebrity lawyer Dean Dunham! A simple public apology would indeed go down very well with the scorned party, Cheryl Cole in this case. There are always two sides to a story but as an agent I receive lots of requests to do what Max Clifford does, sell stories to the media.
Well, I know my peers would criticise me for saying this because our industry, lets be honest, is about making money, not turning it away, but I feel in most cases and certainly in Cheryl and Ashley's case, a dignified silence is probably the best thing.

Sam Bird GP2 Driver finishes an excellent 3rd in Istanbul

Sam Bird continued to impress in his rookie GP2 season with a podium finish in the feature race at Istanbul Park, Turkey.
Having qualified fifth on the grid, the young Briton made a good start and immediately overtook Turvey for fourth place on the inside of turn 1.
After a handful of laps, race leader Maldonado had built up a small gap to the Valsecchi-Perez-Bird trio who had, themselves, pulled away from the rest of the field. The round of pit-stops only produced a positional switch between Valsecchi and Perez but Sam emerged still in fourth place. He then settled into a good rhythm about a second behind GP2 returnees Valsecchi and Perez, who resumed their battle for second place.
Sam would later explain: “I could see Davide (Valsecchi) and Sergio (Perez) fighting hard just ahead of me and both were being quite aggressive on their tyres. I was comfortably staying with them while still pulling away from the guys behind so I decided to look after my own rubber and make my move later on in the race.”
With eight laps to go, Sam made an attempt to overtake Perez for third place at turn 1 and then again at turn 12, where the Mexican forcefully shut the door, causing some damage to the nose of the ART car. However, the Briton would not be denied his place on the podium and finally got his man at turn 7, with three laps to go.
Starting Sunday’s reversed grid sprint race from sixth, Sam once again made a solid start and settled into a strong rhythm. However, from the midway point in the race, he began to suffer from severe rear tyre degradation and blistering, causing him to progressively lose rear end grip and dramatically affecting his lap times.
“To corner the old football saying, it was a weekend of two halves” said Sam at the end of the weekend. “In the feature race, the car felt strong and the podium was a satisfying result.”
“For today’s race, on the other hand, the track conditions were very different and we just didn’t get the balance of the car quite right. In the second half of the race the rear tyres were completely gone so the car became a real handful. We’re obviously disappointed that we couldn’t capitalise on a decent starting position to put some more points on the board. But I’m sure we’ll be back on the pace in Valencia, where ART have had a good car in the past”.
The next round of GP2 Series takes place on the streets of the Spanish city on 26-27 June.
